COMMERCIAL OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT
RED TEETH - GREEN TEETH WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?The Red Teeth (Reds) are a deeper dished tooth designed around soft woods such as pine. They offer a tremendous sheering action and a very smooth cut. They carry an edge very well and using them can be like adding horsepower to your machine. They were designed around lower horsepower machines however, they are currently running very successfully on machines up to 120 h.p. The Green Teeth (Greens) excel in rocky soil. They take a shock very well. The dish, or concave, is similar to the angle found on standard ˝" shank teeth. These were designed for larger horsepower machines however, they are currently running on machines with as little as 25 h.p. If you are not sure which tooth to use try running Reds on one side of your wheel and Greens on the other and see which you prefer. The only difference between the Red and Green is the angle of the carbide. The grade of the carbide, the way they're made, and materials they are made with are all the same, as is the price.
